Are you one of those people, like me, who’s tried countless diets, sports, fitness programs, numerous supplements, and various takes on when to eat, sleep, and exercise – all in their pursuit of that “perfect figure”? We all wish to maintain healthy body weight, while also feeling energetic and light, right? If the answer is yes, or if you are to become that person, then you know how overwhelmingly confusing all the information out there can be. You know how incredibly hard it is to find the right path for your unique body type and metabolism. You’ve probably embarked on numerous health and fitness journeys, often with no lasting success, and perhaps even given up a few times. I certainly have.
The rarely spoken truth that’s not exactly pleasant to hear
Each person has unique predispositions and genetics. It’s nearly impossible to have the single ultimate solution that works for everyone. This isn’t a negative or scary realization, but it does call for personal responsibility, which can be a little more challenging to accept. Since this individualized approach isn’t what most diets, nor fitness coaches shed the light on, we eventually need to take matters into our own hands. Too many specialists offer a “one- size-fits-all” solution, and when you happen to be the one “it doesn’t fit”, it’s easy to start wondering “What the hell is wrong with me..?”
Nothing’s wrong with you, you’re just disconnected
My biggest revelation over the last 10 years, through various sports and physical practices – from Basketball, CrossFit, Yoga and many in-betweens – is that being unaware of how those exercises truly affect my body was the biggest oversight. We have excessive access to information on how things should work and how we should feel, but are we actually feeling it? You can exercise all you want, “burn those damn calories”, “fuel up with healthy meals”, but at the end of the day if you still feel stiff, weighed down and out of sync with your physical self, are you truly taking care of it? If you wake up in the morning drained and unsure how many coffees it will take to get through the day, or you’ve reached a plateau, or worse – you’ve injured yourself – is that really the “right” time to ask the questions? I don’t think so.
“To keep the body in good health is a duty…otherwise we shall not be able to keep the mind strong and clear.”
– Buddha
Can we all stop looking for the “right answer” when it happens to be “a little too late”?
It’s human nature to cling to our comfort zone, even if it’s slowly killing us – like the “boiling frog” experiment. But it doesn’t have to be this way. Too often, we have the tendency to seek new paths, once the old ones prove unsustainable, or in other words: We wait to get burned hard, to realize the fire is actually hot. If we’re not “dead” already (the destiny of the frog). Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing inherently wrong with learning from mistakes and navigating personal challenges to learn and know better. I’m actually all about that. However, I want to promote a greater awareness within our bodies and a broader perspective on how we approach the endless “health tips” the Internet and society bombard us with.
My intention for “The Flow” is to create a space for exploration and discovery of new, alternative ways to keep our bodies healthy and unlock their fullest potential for movement and mobility. Here, we’ll explore how simple, intentional practices – from nourishing movement to mindful eating – can help you cultivate a body that supports a life lived with more ease, joy, in a truly effortless ‘flow‘. It’s an invitation to transform your connection with your body so it becomes your daily source of radiant energy, with less of the unpleasant effort. (I’m not saying it would be easy, it just doesn’t need to be painful).
With a mindset shift, you can establish a powerful inner connection that will help both you and your body flourish. Because once we genuinely understand “how we tick”, the results will follow. It’s inevitable. And you’ll realize it has never been easier.

The flow of body and breath into the most sensational experience
This section is largely inspired by the single most helpful, inspiring and life-changing practice I’ve embraced over the last five years: Yoga, particularly Vinyasa Flow. The very name, “Yoga Flow”, perfectly matches the idea that a healthy body, capable of true freedom and mobility, is one that moves in a flow – graciously, sensually, and at ease. Of course, finding your body’s limits, respecting them, and sometimes pushing beyond them are also part of the practice. But it’s always handled with care and conscious awareness of your internal sensations, approaching our physical boundaries with respect and a curious sip of expansion. While yoga is actually much more than a physical practice, everything is so tightly intertwined that you’ll naturally benefit from its spiritual effects simply through the physical movements. This is just a sneak peek, and I’ll dive into all the details in upcoming articles.
What you’ll find here: Practical steps to effortless living
Within “The Flow,” you’ll discover accessible guidance for a revolutionized body that moves with effortless grace and sustains its energy. We’ll explore practical physical practices like yoga for flexibility and strength, and delve into what other types of exercise and sports can bring to your journey. You’ll focus on understanding how to truly nourish your body with wholesome foods, moving away from restrictive, often malnourished, diets. Last but not least, you’ll find guidelines on how to create a sustainable daily regime that helps you flow through life.
I’ll share my insights on building healthy routines, cultivating new habits, and letting go of old ones. We’ll also address how to best approach changes in life – particularly those impacting your body – with an open mind. You’ll learn more about the mind-body connection as a crucial tool for adapting to new routines and sustaining long-term changes. I’ll share parts of my healing journey with the means of psychosomatic psychotherapy* – how can the body hold and release trauma without our consciousness realizing it. Certain types of embodied movement and therapeutic practices can serve as powerful tools for trauma release and rewiring the brain, drastically changing our characteristics and emotional state.
*Psychosomatic therapy explores the connection between the mind and body in health and illness, particularly focusing on how psychological factors can influence physical symptoms and overall well-being. It’s a holistic approach that acknowledges the interplay of biological, psychological, and social factors in health, often addressing stress, trauma, and other emotional factors contributing to physical ailments.

How to discover the disconnect and start living more effortlessly
I truly believe that a healthy body means leaving the Ego behind, allowing for a deeper, more authentic and less judgemental connection to your physical self. This means embracing a positive, yet realistic, mindset is the cornerstone for a healthy relationship with your body. We’ll also touch on establishing a supportive group of friends for accountability, the endless debate of motivation vs. discipline, and exploring alternative ways to heal and strengthen your body.
My own journey has been incredibly colorful and wonderfully imperfect, serving as a real-world guide – a “what to do and what not to do” roadmap. I’ll share the different sets of “rules” I followed, along with real-life examples of how “successful” they actually were. We’ll explore how all these elements combine to create a holistic sense of well-being, helping you release tension, boost energy, and move through your days with greater freedom. How to approach your healing – from sickness, injuries, etc. and the alternative mindset that might sometimes prevent them.
